Under the LOLER regulations all equipment used for lifting is fit for purpose, suitably marked and subject to thorough examinations. All lifting equipment must be clearly marked to indicate their safe working loads or the maximum weight that the equipment can lift safely.
Lifting equipment must be thoroughly examined by competent personnel where:
Records of all thorough examinations must be kept on file, and equipment defects must be reported those responsible for the lifting equipment.
MIM-NI are certified to test and thoroughly examine all lifting equipment and plant under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. Our lifting engineers can certify that recovery vehicle lifting equipment is safe and to ensure that it is fit for purpose. When lifting equipment passes all the required examinations, we can then issue a LOLER certificate to prove that the equipment is safe to carry out lifting operations.
